Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the combustion efficiency and purify the combusted gas by causing a high field gradient to be generated around magnetic fine wires placed in an magnetic field using a magnet, and passing the fuel in the gradient to eliminate metal particles within the sludge. CONSTITUTION:An inner cylinder 2 having a flange is provided around the inner periphery of a bottomed cylindrical vessel 1, and magnetic fine wires 4 consisting of nets (28 meshes) of an S15C material are buried between the inner wall of the inner cylinder 2 and the arcuate permanent magnet 3 provided in the center of the inner cylinder 2 to constitute a high gradient magnetic filter 12. Fuel flowing at the bottom of the vessel 1 by flowing in through an oil inlet 5 and passing through the fine wire 4, is raised between the outside of the inner cylinder 2 and the inner side of the vessel 1 and caused to flow from an oil outlet 6. Fuel oil O is sent to a service tank 11 by a feed pump 10, and to a combustion device 14 via a high gradient magnetic filter 12. By the installation of the filter 12, it is possible to eliminate metals such as Fe, Ni, Co or the like which are ferromagnetic materials in the fuel oil and other many metals of paramagnetic substances. Therefore, the fuel cost is reduced and combustion is improved.
