Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit effective electrolytic treatment of desired one surface of a strip- like metallic sheet by disposing an electrical insulation plate in proximity onto the surface of the opposite side from electrodes in an electrolytic treatment area for the strip-like metallic sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A strip-like Al sheet 1 is suspended and guided by a roll 4, and is fed into an electric feed cell 2 filled with electrolyte 3 for electric power feeding, where it is transferred while being immersed into the liquid 3. In the cell 2, anode plates 5 are provided in opposition to the sheet 1 and the sheet 1 acts as cathode. Thence, the sheet 1 is fed into an electrolytic cell 6. While electric current flows via the electrolyte 8 betweeen the sheet 1 and cathode plates 9 in the cell 6, the electric current flowing from the surface of the sheet 1 on the insulation plate 10 side to the plates 9 is considerably suppressed. Therefore, anodic oxidation films are hardly formed on the surface on the plate 10 side of the sheet 1, and anodic oxidation films are formed exclusively on the surface on the plate 9 side. Hence, the anodic oxidation film of desired thickness is formed on one surface of the sheet 1 with less quantity of electricity.
