Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively discharge dust or the like stuck to a filter, by attaching a cone-shaped filter in a vertical prescreening device and at the same time, generating an eddy flow in said device.
CONSTITUTION: A part of a piping at a lower part is projected in a cylindrical barrel 7; and a conical filter 8 having an enlarged end whose diameter is larger than that of the piping at the lower part is attached to the upper part of the barrel 7. A shielding plate 9 is used at the lower part of the filter 8, and fluid is made to flow upward from the bottom side to pass through the filter 8 whirling around the outside of the filter 8 so as to make dust or the like 3 stay at the outside of the flow. The dust 3 is expelled radially to the outside by an pressurized water injection from nozzles 10 to rotate the flow; and even in the normal operation, upper blow vaves 11 are operated to minimize the falling quantity of the dust into the piping at the lower part. With this device, the discharging of the dust 3 from a blow pipe at the lower part is effectively performed by operating a blow valve 12.
