Abstract
PURPOSE:To set the reference color for an arbitrary color with lower chroma, by acquiring a component difference signal between a given signal component in Y, I and Q components extracted with Y, I, Q separation means of a color video signal and a reference color and forming a keying signal from this component signal. CONSTITUTION:A color video signal from an input terminal 1 is separated into Y, I and Q component signals at a Y, I, Q separation comb filter 2. Each component signal thus separated is applied to subtractors (adders) 3, 4, 5 as minuends, and reference Y signal component Y0, reference I signal component I0,, and reference Q signal component Q0 are respectively added to the subtractors 3, 4, 5 and the difference between an input color picture and the reference color is obtained at the subtractors 3, 4, 5 respectively and they are inputted to multipliers 6, 7, 8. At the multipliers 6, 7, 8, multiplication by a Y sensing signal (l), I sensing signal (m), and Q sensing signal (n) is made, each output is added at an adder 9, and a keying signal is outputted through signal processing at a clip circuit 10.
