Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a changeover switch by switching a starting capacitor and an operating capacitor by a self-heating type bimetal switch having a bimetal contact piece. CONSTITUTION:When a control switch 11 is closed and a power source 10 is thrown, the auxiliary coil 3 of a single-phase induction motor 1 is energized by the bimetal contact piece 7 of a self-heating type bimetal switch 8 and a starting capacitor 5. When the prescribed time is elapsed, the bimetal contact piece 7 is heated and is contacted with a stationary contact piece b, and the coil 3 is energized by the piece 7 and an operating capacitor 6. In this manner, the structure of the changeover switch can be simplified, and the lifetime of the entire device can be increased.
