Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the contact area between an underground heat exhanging pipe and soil to carry out more effective heat exchange for retaining the temperature of a hothouse by interposing a water swelling substance between the above underground heat exchanging pipe and soil.
CONSTITUTION: A water-swelling tape or sheet 3 is wound around the outer surface 2a of a heat exchanging pipe 2 made of hard vinyl chloride resin, and buried under ground, and then water is sprayed thereon. By this operation, the tape 3 is swollen, the gap between the outer surface 2a of the pipe 2 and soil 1 is removed, and hence the heat-exchange efficiency is increased. Furthermore, a powdery substance is packed between the pipe 2 and the soil 1, and then soil is covered thereon or the pipe 2 is buried with soil mixed with the water-swelling powdery substance. Then, water is sprayed thereon to obtain the same effects.
