Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve a heat conductivity of a heat accumulating box for a freezer- refrigerator utilizing solid-liquid phase change latent heat, by a method wherein a filler, being excellent in a heat conductivity and a gap factor, is placed between a top plate and a bottom plate of a heat accumulating box formed of a better heat conductive material.
CONSTITUTION: A better heat conductive material, for example, a fibrous metal 9, is housed in a vessel 10 made of a better heat conductive material, a gap 13 is formed at the top part of the vessel 10 to fill the gap with a heat accumulating material 12. Through cooling of the heat accumulating material 11, this causes cooling of the fibrous metal 9 through the medium of a large number of parts where the fibrous metal makes contact with the vessel 10, and as a result, the heat accumulating material 12 around the metal 9 is cooled. Thus, the heat accumulating material 12 is cooled wholly uniformly and rapidly for solidification. In the case of radiation as well, the same circulation is carried out. This permits the improvement of a heat conductivity , the simplification of the structure, and the facilitation of the manufacture.
