Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a type wheel capable of freely separating a types belt from a base by a method wherein inside cylindrical base a roller for separating the types belt is provided at the position coming in contact with one of projections arranged on the back of the types belt.
CONSTITUTION: Inside the base 2 is provided the roller 22 for separating the types belt 3. The roller 22 is fixed to a rotary shaft 23 mounted in parallel to the axial line and provided at the position at which it can come in sufficient contact with any one of the projection 3b arranged on the back of the types belt 3. When the types wheel is rotated counterclockwise in printing, the roller 22 comes in ccontact with one of the projections 3b of the belt 3 to give push force to it, the belt 3 is separated certainly from the base 2 before impact is given and a hammer 13 requires only a small amount of energy when impact is given.
