Abstract

PURPOSE: To impart a vinyl chloride resin molded article with excellent permanent antistaticity having high durability, by the low-temperature plasma treatment of the surface of the article successively with a nitrogen-containing organic compound and an organic silicon compound.
CONSTITUTION: A vinyl chloride resin molded article is placed in a low-temperature plasma generating vessel, and the atmosphere in the vessel is adjusted to ≤ 10 Torr. The article is exposed to low-temperature plasma of a nitrogen-containing organic compound gas of formulaI, II or III (R1 and R7 are univalent hydrocarbon group; R2WR6 and R9WR11 are H or univalent hydrocarbon group; R8 is bivalent hydrocarbon group) (e.g. methylamine) (the pressure of the gas is preferably 1W0.005 Torr), and then to low-temperature plasma of an organic silicon compound gas of formula IV (R is univalent hydrocarbon group; X is halogen or alkoxy; a is 0W4, b is 0W2; a+b is 0W4) which is a hydrolytic condensate of an organosilane, to effect the surface treatment of the molded article.
