Abstract

PURPOSE:To regenerate a humidity-sensitive element with dew formed without damage thereto by heating and drying it until the detection level reaches a set value. CONSTITUTION:A voltage across terminals of a humidity-sensitive element 1 is detected with a voltage detection circuit 3 and the output thereof is connected to a humidity measuring circuit 4 to detect the humidity. A level detection circuit 5 compares the output of the voltage detection circuit 3 with a set value and turns off a control switch 7 when reaching the set value. When the humidity-sensitive element 1 forms dew, the control switch 7 is turned on to start a hot air dryer 2 for heat drying of the element 1. When the output detection circuit 5 reaches a set value with a change in the resistance value of the humidity element by the heating, the control switch 7 is turned off to halt the hot air dryer 2.
