Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the automatic insertion of an insulator into a slot by a method wherein an epoxy resin mixed with a specified quantity of mica powder is applied to both sides of a polyester film prior to curing whereby the film is so reinforced that it maintains sufficient insulating capability as well as rigidity to stand insertion. CONSTITUTION:The slot insulator 3 for a low voltage induction motor whose heat resisting tendency division is ''F'' is formed by applying a 0.01-0.05mm. thick layer, composed of a liquid epoxy resin 2 including 30-50wt% of a mixture of a curing agent, hardening accelerator, and mica powder to the both sides of a 0.1-0.25mm. thick polyester film, and then by subjecting the combination to heat curing. The result is a sheet form insulating material that is strong enough to stand a bend, low in price, sleek surfaced, and free of curling, which properties facilitates a great deal the automatic insertion of the insulating material into the slot 4 of the low voltage induction motor.
