Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cutting process capable of cutting a fixed length at high speed precisely by controlling moving positions of steel plates or the like through a second pulse generator when the material is far from the fixed position on a fixed length cutting apparatus and controlling the moving positions through a first pulse generator, when the speed approaches a high level. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting, the position determined according to a set device 14 is separated from the position of a loader 1, an output of a counter 9 is zero, a control changeover detector 10 does not output any information and a switch 6 is OFF, a switch 7 is ON. The value of a counter changeover setter 15 is reduced from the value of the set device 14 and further the value of a counter 9 counting the signal from a second pulse generator 5 is reduced from the value. The result obtained corresponding to the output from a function generator 12 drives a electric motor 3 at high speed through a change-over circuit 11. When the material is near its stop position and its moving speed is lowered, reaching the value of a control changeover setter 16, the output sets the switch 6 ON and the switch 7 OFF.
