Abstract
PURPOSE:To make effective data checks without entailing an increase in cost, by restoring readout data, which corresponds to an address right before the start of diagnostic operation, in a read data register after the completion of the diagnostic operation. CONSTITUTION:This system is equipped with a memory part 1 stored with the processing programs of an information processing system and data, a lead data register 2 holding its readout data temporarily, an address register 7 holding temporarily address information for access from an external processor to the memory part 1, and a diagnostic control circuit 10 which attains diagnostic access to the memory part 1 separately from normal access for a diagnosis of the memory part 1. Then, reading operation is carried out on the basis of an address right before the start of diagnostic operation to restore readout data stored in read data register 2.
