Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain large vertically moving forces with small driving source outputs in a casting machine wherein a melting pan is brought into tight contact with a stationary pan cover by the upward movement of a holding furnace body for the same, by moving carriages having wedge-like blocks thar receive load in moving the furnace body upward and downward. CONSTITUTION:An upper carriage 12 having four wheels 13 with respect to a lower carriage 9 having four wheels 11 on a base 10 is installed vertically movably and horizontally immovably as the notched grooves 14a of anti-sliding pawls 14 on both sides thereof are fitted to the rod 15 of the carriage 9. A moving carriage 16 is interposed between the carriages 9 and 12, and wedge-like blocks 17 sandwiched by wheels 11, 13 are provided on four sides thereof. A holding furnace 2 is located on the carriage 12 by a furnace body carrying-in motor 23, and the carriage 16 is moved to the right by an oil hydraulic mechanism. The carriage 12 is lifted by this, and the melting pan installed at the center of the furnace 2 is brought into tight contact with the pan cover fixed to a die plate via a sealing packing.
