Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a quick response as well as a precision and to reduce the cost, by using a pulse generator to generate a speed detection signal of a quick response and a speed detection signal of a high precision and using both signals properly in accordance with the speed deviation. CONSTITUTION:A signal generating part 3 for a high-speed speed detection signal and a signal generating part 4 for a high-precision speed detection signal are provided, and the deviation inputted to a speed controller 6 is monitored by a monitor device 5; and when the deviation is large, a switch 7 is used to use the generating part 3; and when the deviation is small, the generating part 4 is used. If a gate switching controlling circuit 12 is a controlling circuit which opens an AND gate 11 during the time from the rise to the fall of a pulse, a counter 10 counts the number of clocks in a time T/2. Since the length of the time T is inversely proportional to the rotation speed of a rotating material, the conversion to a speed detection signal in a converter 14 is facilitated by the count number of clocks in the counter 10.
