Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance durability of an adsorbent as well as to prevent fuel vapor from being directly introduced into an engine when it is desorbed by forming a structure wherein fuel vapor is introduced into an adsorbent layer comprising a activated carbon fiber paper through a guide pipe and a space part.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel vapor guide pipe 20 and a space part 18 are provided in a container 1. As the result, when fuel vapor generated in a fuel tank is flowed into a canister when desorbing action is carried out, the guide pipe 20 is blocked from a mixed gas discharge port 4 and, therefore, the fuel vapor is introduced into the guide pipe 20 at first and subsequently introduced into the space part 18. The fuel vapor is subsequently introduced into the upper layer part of an adsorbing layer 15 along with air and the formed mixed gas is discharged from the mixed gas discharge port 7. Therefore, the fuel vapor flowed into the canister is directly introduced to the mixed gas discharge port 7 to be supplied to an engine and a phenomenon wherein an air-fuel ratio is made high is not generated.
