Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out automatically and accurately the turning of a canvas and its furling and unfurling, by providing a movable beam and a lower beam for a guide member between both ends of the upper and lower beams secured to a turning mast. CONSTITUTION:Upon the drive of a motor 4, via gears 3 and 5, a mast 2 is made to rotate with the shaft center of a fixed post 1 as a pivoting point. Also driving a winch 15, when a wire rope 13 is wound up, a movable beam 9 at the top step goes up along a guide member 8 by dint of a rope 13 and in proportion to this, another movable beam 9 goes up so that a canvas 11 is stretchable. To furl the canvas 11, the winch 15 is to be set free so that the canvas descends by dead weight into a state of collapsing. And, in order to make this furling operation still readier, it may be recommendable that tips a and b of the wire rope 13 be pulled downward by a winch, using another wire rope.
