Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve accuracy by providing a strain gage which detects the strain of a diaphragm and a strain gage which delects the strain of a pushing member used for reducing the strain of and compensating the measurement errors due to the dent of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:To the inside of a case 7, is fixed the diaphragm 6 on the back surface of which the strain gage 5 is provided. In said case 7, are provided a base plate 9 which pushes out the diaphragm 6, a piston 10, a screw 11, and the like. The pushing force caused by the screw 11 is detected by the strain gage 12. The surface pressure gage 16 constituted in this way is inserted in the center of a rigid body 13 such as resin mold and the like, and the surface pressure between the rigid body 13 and a resilient body 14 such as rubber is measured. In order to compensate the measurement errors due to the dent of the diaphragm 6, the screw 11 is unscrewed at first so that the piston 10 can be freely slidden. Thereafter the screw 11 is tightened until the strain of the diaphragm disappears. At this time, the average surface pressure is read by the gage 12 and the surface pressure value is obtained.
