Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent double recording on the same tape, by providing a means for detecting the move-up/down of a cassette stage after a tape is automatically rewound and for inhibiting the second picture recording unless no move-up/down is detected. CONSTITUTION:When the end of a tape is detected by a tape end detecting circuit 4, the tape is rewound automatically up to its starting position of picture recording. At the same time, the output of an FF circuit 1 is inverted to turn off a switch circuit 2. As a result, a picture recording circuit 3 has no operation although a recording indication signal is received. A cassette stage is moved upward by the output of a stage switch 5 to take out a cassette. Then the cassette stage is moved downward after exchanging the cassette. Thus an ON signal is delivered to turn on the circuit 2, and picture recording is possible. As a result, double recording is prevented on the same tape.
