Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the production of an air gap in an insulating layer at the corners of a conductor by intimately contacting putty kneaded with mica powder via resin with the corners of the conductor, winding a mica take at the periphery, and then impregnating in vacuum the thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:Mica powder is kneaded with resin to form putty 10 at the corners of a conductor 1, and the putty 10 is intimately contacted smoothly along the side surface of the conductor 1. A mica tape is wound on the periphery of the conductor 1 to form an insulating layer 6, thermosetting resin is then impregnated in vacuum and is thermally cured. In this manner, no air gap is produced between the conductor 1 and the layer 6, and its reliability can be enhanced even when it is used under water.
