Abstract
PURPOSE:To switch the rated voltage by arranging the primary side or secondary side winding that a low rated voltage is applied to one winding while a high rated voltage is applied to the other winding connected in series thereto with each terminal of both the windings drawn out of a tank. CONSTITUTION:This transformer is composed of a low voltage winding 9 on the low voltage side and a medium voltage winding 10 and a high voltage winding 11 on the high voltage side. The windings 9, 10 and 11 and an iron core 12 are housed in an oil-filled tank 13. The terminals of the medium voltage winding 10 are drawn out of a tank one as a neutral terminal 10N and the other as a medium voltage terminal 10A. Both ends of the high voltage winding 11 are short-circuited to make a medium voltage terminal 11A while a high voltage terminal 11B is drawn out of the center of the winding. In the operation by the medium voltage, the medium voltage terminal 10A is connected to a stringing 14 and the medium voltage terminal 11A is grounded. To switch to the high voltage, the high voltage terminal 11B is connected to the stringing 14 while the medium voltage terminals 10A and 11A are connected to each other.
