Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable measurement of flow rate of solid particles on a plurality of lines with one arithmetic device by computing a pair of outputs through a time-sharing scan switching means with an air flowmeter and a differential pressure gauge provided on the lines on which the particles flow. CONSTITUTION:Solid particles are supplied to supply points P of a plurality of transportation lines 5 from a solid particle hopper 1. Gas flowmeters 6 are provided on the upstream of the supply point P to measure an air velocity Ua while differential pressure gauges 7 are provided on the downstream thereof to measure a pressure loss DELTAP. The gas flowmeters 6 and the differential pressure gauges 7 are time-shared by a fixed time by a signal from a timing controller 9 and are switched in a pair for each line with a scan selector 8. The output signals are processed with a common arithmetic arithmetic unit 10 for computing the flow rate GS of solid particles based on the Formula (where, the flow rate of the solid particles is represented by GS, the inner diameter of a transportation line 5 by D, the gravity acceleration by g and the pressure loss only by air flow by DELTAPa, a parameter determined by the air velocity Ua and the diameter of solid particles). This allows the flow rate for each line to be determined with one common arithmetic unit and a scan selector.
