Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively supply an ink to the end face of a wire by providing an ink immersing membrane on the front surface of an end bearing for guiding a printing wire and adhering the ink liquid supplied to the membrane to the end face of the wire, thereby eliminating the adherence of the ink to the bearing hole. CONSTITUTION:An ink immersing membrane 11 which immerses an ink liquid 4 is mounted on the front surface of a holding member 15 of a wire 17, and the membrane 11 has a hole 14 to surround the peripheral edge of the wire 17 in the vicinity of the end face 18b of the wire 17. The ink of the prescribed quantity is always extended at the hole 14 due to a capillary tube phenomenon, and when the wire 17 is advanced to the printing sheet side, the ink liquid 14' is adhered to the end face 18b. In this case, the ink liquid flowed in the engaging gap 18a between the bearing hole 18 of an end bearing 16 and the wire 17 into the member 15 is recovered by a recovering unit 20 from a drain hole 19.
