Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the temperature rise through preventing the quick conduction of the frictional heat generated between a disc and a friction material by integrally molding a semimetallic friction material and an aluminum base thermet pressure plate.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminum based thermet compound A' is filled in a mold C and preformed by pressure P to make a pressure plate forming member A. Then, a semimetallic compound B' is filled over the pressure plate preforming member A in a mold C and preformed by pressure P' to make a friction material forming member B. The said pressure plate forming member A and friction material forming member B are heated and pressed in a hot press to integrally mold the metallic friction material forming member B and the aluminum based thermet pressure plate A simultaneously.
