Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate operations for rule and frame generation, by converting a rule line pattern stored in the first storage means to another rule line pattern in the second storage means by a rule line conversion instruction to convert the rule line pattern easily. CONSTITUTION:A CPU is constituted with a microprocessor and is connected to an address bus AB, a control bus CB, and a data bus DB and performs operations, the logic control, etc. Control procedures, conversion tables, etc. for the CPU are stored in a control memory ROM, and various data are stored temporarily in an RAM. An area CSR in this RAM is used as a cursor save memory, and numbers indicating type of rule lines are stored in an area KNO. Sentences, rule lines, etc. are inputted from a keyboard KB, and character and rule line patterns are generated by a character generator CG. The rule line pattern stored in the area CRS in the RAM is converted to another rule line pattern indicated by the area KNO by the rule line conversion instruction from the keyboard KB, thus facilitating rule and frame generation.
