Abstract
PURPOSE:To make automatic correction of detection sensitivity in accordance with variation in noise level in metal detection devices by comparing standard voltage that is integration of the outputs of detection circuit and the output voltage and making the item constant of integration variable in accordance with the value of integration voltage. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a detection circuit 10 for detecting a non- metallic object such as a metal mixed in food is input to a detection sensitivity automatic correction circuit 20. The input signal is given to a comparator 21 through a variable resistors R1 and R2, and also to a integrator 23 that consists of R3 and R4 and a condenser C1 through an analog switch 2 and to the other input of the comparator 21 through R5. The comparator 21 outputs detection signal e when the output voltage of a circuit 10 exceeds the integration voltage of the integrator 23. The input signal is also given to a comparator 24 through R6 and when the output of the integrator is larger, the switch 22 is changed over to the R4 side through R7. R4 is set at a resistance value smaller than that of R3. With this arrangement exact signal detection can be effected even if noise components change.
