Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain enough durability against centrifugal force in rapid rotation, by shifting a permanent magnet to a stator. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic flux outgoing from the north pole of a permanent magnet 4a mounted on a stator 6 enters into a first annular magnetic passage 2a through the upper core of an electromagnet 3a and a gap G1 or through the lower core and a gap G2 and returns to the south pole of the permanent magnet 4a through a cylindrical magnetic circuit 2c, a second annular magnetic passage 2b and an electromagnet 3b, as shown by the full-line arrows in the drawing. The magnetic fluxes of the electromagnets 3a, 3b extend around through their cores and the annular magnetic passages 2a, 2b in their poles. In the gaps G1, G3, the magnetic flux shown by the dotted line is added to that shown by the full line. In the other gaps G2, G4, the magnetic flux shown by the dotted line is subtracted from that shown by the full line.
