Abstract

PURPOSE:To set the best range of lift and extent of opening of a valve by providing several set values by adding possible values to a discharge value which is not measured, finding adequate ranges of pump lift and extents of opening of the valve for the respective set values, and then appreciating the influence of the found values set upon the discharge value. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of a discharge value and a target node water head inputted from input and output terminal 4, the 1st arithmetic circuit 5 calculates the range of lift and extent of opening of a pump valve 2, and the output of the circuit 5 is stored in a data storage device 6. Further, the 2nd arithmetic circuit 7 calculates water head values at all nodes of a distributing pipe network 1 by using the assumed values of uncertain discharge values from the terminal 4, the possibility that those values are actual discharge values, and the data in the storage 6. Then, the possibility value and the arithmetic result of the circuit 7 are used to decide on an adequate range of lift of the pump and an adequate extent of opening of the valve by the 3rd arithmetic circuit 8. On the basis of the set values determined by the circuit 8, a controller 3 controls the range of lift of the pump and the extent of opening of the pump.
