Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase heat conductivity and to reduce pressure loss in heat transmission pipes used for air conditioners, etc. by a method wherein the entire surface of the inside wall of a heat transmission pipe through which fluid flows in both gaseous and liquid phases by changing phases as flows is finished to form a fine rough surface. CONSTITUTION:The entire surface of the inside wall of the heat transmission pipe 1 is finished to be fine rough surface texture 2 by known methods such as by sand blast, etc. so that liquid 4 rises upward on the inside wall of the pipe by capillarity. Therefore, contacting areas between liquid 4 and the pipe wall 1 are increased, thereby heat conductivity is increased and there is no remarkable increase in pressure loss as compared with pipes having smooth inside walls.
