Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently position the spindles of a multi-spindle drilling machine, by prividing a plurality of a beams which are fitted with sliding members for supporting drills and are located in the spindle head and by using gauges to position the sliding members and the beams. CONSTITUTION:A plurality beams 31. 32..., 3N are guided by the beam conduction grooves 2, 2' of the casing 1 of a spindle head. Sliding members for supporting spindles 11 are guided by the through holes 8 of the beams 3. The spindles 11 are connected to a main shaft through expansible universal joints 12, 13 so that the spindles are rotated. Gauges 19 for setting the distance between the adjacent beams 3 are interchangeably mounted on guide bars 7 extending through the beams 3. Gauges for positioning the sliding members are provided on the bottoms of the beams 3. The beams 3 are pushed on the distance setting gauges 19 by a cylinder 29 through couplers 30 and a beam moving plate 32.
