Abstract

PURPOSE:To save useless and to make the handling easy, by separating overlapped paper if overlapped delivery is caused, stopping the carrying section through the detection thereof, and forming a picture on remaining paper through redriving after a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:If two sheets S1, S2 of paper are fed between a driving roller 32 and a follower roller 32', a rotating load is increased and the paper S1 only in contact with the driving roller 32 is carried. On the other hand, since the roller 32' is not driven, the paper 32' which is in contact with it is stopped. Thus, a rotating disc 156 in interlocking with the roller 32' is stopped and no pulse signal is outputted from a photosensor 157. This is detected at a overlapped delivery detector to stop a paper feeding roller and copying is made to remaining paper through redriving after a prescribed time via a counter. Thus, useless paper can be saved and the operation is made easy.
