Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve electromagnetic conversion efficiency, by providing a main magnetic pole and a reflux magnetic pole having a prescribed magnetic field intensity, on a vertical magnetizing and recording magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A vertical magnetizing and recording magnetic head consists of a main magnetic pole 10 and reflux magnetic poles 11, 12 which have branched into 2 parts, and a coil 13 is wound around the main magnetic pole 10. A recording medium is constituted of a full magnetic substrate 5, a magnetic substance layer 6 and a vertical magnetizing magnetic substance layer 7. The electromagnetic conversion efficiency is improved since a closed magnetic path returning to the reflux magnetic pole 11 or 12 is formed through the magnetic layer 6 of the recording medium from the main magnetic pole. Also, when intensity of the reflux magnetic poles 11, 12 is set to 0.17 of intensity of the main magnetic pole, no influence by the reflux magnetic poles 11, 12 is exerted.
