Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of bubbles when a liquid sample is flowed into a flow cell, by forming a taper on the inside wall of a leading-in tube to increase gradually the inside diameter of an inlet-side passage toward the side of a light flux transmitting part. CONSTITUTION:A light flux transmitting part which is so formed into a conical shape that the inside diameter is increased gradually is provided in a flow cell main body 1, and the light is incident from the side of a smaller inside diameter toward the side of a larger inside diameter. The inside diameter in the side of the light flux transmitting part 22 on an inlet-side passage 2 formed in the cell main body 1 is equal to the small inside diameter of the light flux transmitting part 22. The inlet-side passage 2 is so tapered that the diameter is larger in the down stream of a liquid, and the side of the inlet-side passage 2 brought into contact with the end part of a leading-in tube 4 has the same inside diameter as the leading-in tube 4. Thus, the difference in level of the connection part between the inlet-side passage 2 and the leading-in tube 4 is eliminated to reduce the generation of bubbles considerably, and the measurement error for sample photometry is reduced.
