Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the durability in high speed driving and stability at high speed and to reduce rolling resistance improving fuel consumption, by forming tread by rubber composit of a specific micro short organic fiber. CONSTITUTION:A desired rubber composit is obtained by combining 3-30pts.wt. of micro organic short fiber with 100pts.wt. of rubber selected from blended rubber of natural rubber or compound rubber or any mixture of these. The transition to glass temperature of the amorphous part of the micro short fiber is lower than 30 deg.C or higher than 120 deg.C and the melting point of the crystal part is higher than 160 deg.C. The average length of the short fiber is 0.8-30mum, and the average diameter 0.02-0.8mum, and average ratio of the average length to the average diameter 8-400. The rubber composit is vulcanized and formed for the tread of a tyre.
