Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a tractive force at the time of travelling in a muddy zone even when muds adhere end stay in the space between the lugs by forming a lug projection projecting from the side part of the main body of the caterpillar belt.
CONSTITUTION: Reinforcing metal cores 3 are embedded in a belt-shaped main body 1 in correspondence to each lug 2 at every predetermined interval, and further tension reinforcing materials 4 are embedded by encircling the rows of the metal cores. On the extension of the lug 2, there is provided a lug projection 6 projecting from the side part of the crawler main body, and when the interval between lugs adjacent in the peripheral direction is assumed to be a, the length of the lug projection b, and the height of the lug c, 0.6≤a/b 3.15mm≤c≤50mm. This lug projection 6 functions to scrape muds encroaching when the crawler travels in a muddy zone, and the muds easily slips off, so that even when muds adhere and stay between the lugs, the tractive force is maintained by he lug projection 6.
