Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a measuring sensitivity and to enable to perform a measurement even if no high-refraction layer exists, by a method wherein an incident prism and a radiation prism are placed on a glass surface, and a laser light source, projecting light beam to the incident prism, and a telescope, observing radiation light and double refracting light, are mounted. CONSTITUTION:An incident prism and a radiation prism are adherently attached to a glass surface. Additionally, a laser light source, projecting light beam to a surface to be measured through the incident prism, and a telescope, observing radiation light and double refracting light, are mounted. For example, if light beam 37 is projected to a surface of a curved surface reinforced glass 35 on a vertical moving table 33 from a laser tube 31 via the incident prism 36, the light beam is regulated by means of a retainer 38, a grooved plate 39, a check screw 30, a support axis 41, and rotary axis 42 so that it is positioned in the proximity of and in parallel to the glass surface. Double refracting light and propagating light, being polarized during the propagation in the glass, are observed via a radiation prism 43 by a telescope 44 through adjustment of a check screw, a grooved plate 46, an axis 47, and a rotary axis 48.
