Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve machining accuracy of a slit groove in the method of finishing the slit groove in a machined part, by burnishing a machined surface of broaching or the like further with an arbor. CONSTITUTION:A groove 2 is machined in a cylinder 1 of a rotary compressor by a front broach cutter 3. Then an arbor 5, in diameter slightly larger than width of said broach cutter 3, is pulled in to pass through the cut groove 2, and a surface of the groove 2, in width equal to the broach cutter 3, is crushed by the passing work of said arbor 5, then this surface is finished burnishing in high machining accuracy to a smooth surface.
