Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect correctly the output abnormality of a speed sensor, by installing s pseudo-speed signal generator, in which a certain upper limit value of a speed increasing factor is set, and by comparing the pseudo-speed signal with the wheel speed signal. CONSTITUTION:An adder circuit 3, which adds ''a constant value +DELTAV'' to a wheel speed signal Vw outputted from an F/W converter, and a +G inclination limiter circuit 4, which limits the increase in speed of the signal outputted from the adder circuit 3 below a certain upper limit factor, are provided, and the output of the circuit 4 is taken as a pseudo-speed signal Vr. Next, the two signals Vw and Vr are compared with each other by way of a comparator 5 to detect Vw>=Vr. This constitution enables that when an apparent accelerating state appears on the wheel speed signal Vw, the relation of Vw>=Vr is obtained, because the upper limit of the signal upper limit factor has been set-thereby allowing correct detection of output abnormalities of the speed sensor.
