Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain particles which are not collapsed easily in water as well as have good flowability by forming a treating agent used in fluidized bed type biological sewage treatment by granulating fine powdery soil by using foamed plastic fine pieces as a nucleus.
CONSTITUTION: 1W15pts.wt. foamed plastic fine pieces are wetted in an aqueous solution containing 3W10% water solutlbe high molecular substance and, by using said fine pieces as a nucleus, on the wt% basis, 99W85 of fine powdery soil to 1W15 formaed plastic pieces is added thereto and water is further added gradually to carry out granulation. After granulation, when the obtained particles are dried under a temp. condition of 50W120°C, particles which are not easily collapsed in water and has good flowability are obtained. As the foamed plastic, a general formaed plastic such as polystyrene or polyurethane is used and the fine powdery soil is one obtained by artifically grounding natural soil or soil mineral and the fine powder with a particle size of 500μ or less is used.
