Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately detect the abnormality of a printing system by detecting the abnormality of a high-frequency voltage through rectification and comparison of the high-frequency voltage by means of a rectifying circuit, a comparator and a toner mark detector and by taking the correspondence of a signal of detection of a toner mark with the high-frequency voltage at the time of formation of the mark. CONSTITUTION:The comparator 7 is connected to a high-frequency driving circuit 2 through the intermediary of the rectifying circuit 6, while the toner mark detector 10 detecting the toner mark 25 on a paper sheet 21 is connected to the comparator 7, and the high-frequency voltage at the time of formation of the toner mark 25 is rectified and compared by the rectifying circuit 6 and the comparator 7 respectively, whereby the abnormality of the voltage is detected. Furthermore, by taking the correspondence of the signal V4 of detection of the toner mark 25 delivered from the toner mark detector 10 with the high- frequency voltage V2 at the time of formation of this toner mark, the abnormality of the printing system can be detected synthetically.
