Abstract

PURPOSE: A composition having improved mechanical strength, transparency, dimensional stability, burning while keeping its original form without dripping, obtained by filling a polyolefin type resin with white carbon, followed by adding polyacrylic acid to the resin.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. at least one of polyethylene and polypropylene as polyolefin type thermoplastic resins, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and carboxylated ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is blended with 1W200pts.wt. white carbon and 0.1W100pts.wt. polyacrylic acid. When the amount of white carbon is Xpts.wt. and the amount of polyacrylic acid is Ypts.wt., a relationship shown by the formula, X/10≤Y≤X is preferably satisfied.
