CONSTITUTION:To save the power of a facsimile equipment, a standby power source 1 supplies electric power only to the block A of an electronic circuit in standby mode and the switch SW1 of the block A detects an original being inserted; when the transmission switch SW2 is operated, a start request is detected by a timer 4. Then, the timer 4 outputs a signal which turns on a main power source 2 for a predetermined constant period to supply electric power from the main power source 2 to the main-power-source ON signal generating circuit 3 of the block B, turning on the main power source 2 securely and stably.
