Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve excellent singal transmission between opticaltransmitter and receivers in a rotor and a stator, by providing two annular optical guides to the rotor and stator concentrically in the same plane while they center on the rotary shaft of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A light guide 1 for the stator side of a slip ring and a light guide 2 for the rotor side are made of rectangularly sectioned and light-transmissible materials arranged concentrically and adjacently centering on a rotary shaft and in the same plane. When a rotor rotates, a signal sent from the optical transmitter 3 of the stator side propagates in an optical fiber 4 to enter a light guide 1 through a lens 5, and is emitted from the flank of the light guide 1 to enter a light guide 2; and it is reflected by a reflective surface 6 provided to the internal flank and a reflective surface 7 provided to the external flank of the light guide 1 to propagate in the light guides 1 and 2, and the light is made incident to an optical fiber 9 of the rotor side coupled with the light guide 2 through a lens 8 to be transmitted to an optical receiver 10 of the rotor side.
