Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively perform reclamation work for the sea area, etc., by a method in which soil and sand dumped on the water bottom of pathway for barge are sucked up and then filled up a reclamation site. CONSTITUTION:A sheet pile 1 by which a barge bathway 2 is isolated from a soil dumping site 3 is provided, and a soil sucker by which soil and sand 8 dumped on the water bottom of the barge pathway 2 are sucked up and then discharged into the soil dumping site 3 is provided in the barge pathway 3. A barge 7 loaded with the soil and sand 8 is directed into the barge pathway 2, and the soil and sand 8 are dumped onto the water bottom of the pathway 2. The soil and sand 8 so dumped are sucked up by a suction pipe 4 and then discharged continuously into the soil dumping site 3. Thus, the reclamation work can be performed very efficiently.
