Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled resin composition having excellent flexibility and being suitable for pipe forming, by mixing a relatively high molecular weight ethylene-α-olefin copolymer with a relatively low molecular weight ethylene-α- olefin copolymer in a specific mixing ratio.
CONSTITUTION: 10W70wt% copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin (A) having a density of 0.895W0.935g/cm3, an intrinsic viscosity of 1.5W6dl/g and a degree of short chain branching per 1,000 carbons of 7W40 and 90W30wt% copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin (B) having a density of 0.91W0.955g/cm3, an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3W1.5dl/g and a degree of short chain branching per 1,000 carbons of 5W35 are mixed in a ratio of the degree of short chain branching of component A to that of component B of 0.6 or more to provide the objective ethylene-containing resin composition having a density of 0.91W0.93g/cm3, a melt index of 0.1W3g/10min and a melt flow ratio of 35W150.
