Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the workability and the quality of insulating a coil end by covering the edge of the coil end with a cylindrical insulating case made of glass fiber and thermosetting resin and filling therein kneaded resin containing inorganic powder. CONSTITUTION:After the edges of coil ends are connected directly or by a connecting plate 3, the connected part is covered with a cylindrical insulating case 6 made of glass fiber and thermosetting resin. A compound 7 kneaded with glass fiber and ionorganic powder with thermosetting resin is filled in the gap between the case 6 and a coil 2, and is hardened. In this manner, the workability of the edge of the coil end can be improved, no crack is produced at the case 6 and the compound 7, thereby improving the thermal impact resistance.
