Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve compression efficiency by fixing a cylinder height to the difference between a bore diameter of a cylinder and an outer diameter of a roller at a set point, without adding an additional mechanism nor complicating a structure. CONSTITUTION:A ratio H/(DC-DR) (=K) of a height H of a cylinder 5 with a difference (DC-DR) between a bore diameter (DC) of the cylinder 5 and an outer diameter (DR) of a roller 8 is set at or around 1.65. In other words, since friction loss is reduced as the valve of the ratio is made large, K<1.0 is a desirable range. Also, the leak is lessened, the smaller the value of the ratio K, and K< 2.3 is a desirable range. Moreover, the smaller the value of the ratio (K), it is better with regard to a refrigerant temperature increase inside the cylinder 5 and K<2.3 is a desirable range. Therefore, by setting the value of the ratio K at or around 1.65, friction loss, leak and refrigerant temperature increase are controlled and compression efficiency can be improved.
