Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve recording member of high sensitivity, good efficiency for recording and low cost, by forming a layer using sublimed substance as a thermal isolation layer beam absorbing layer on a transparent substrate, and providing a laser beam absorbing layer on the layer. CONSTITUTION:On a transmission substrate 1 made of glass, a plasma polymerization film 2 of CS2 as transmitting and sublimed thermal isolation layer 2 with glow discharge by high frequency power supply under vacuum with CS2 gas is formed. A laser beam absorbing layer 3 of Te is formed on the film 2 to achieve laser beam recording member. As the layer 2, transmitting organic coloring matter such as fluorescein can be vapor deposited. Thus, excellent recording almost without variance in optical contrast can be achieved by semiconductor laser (wave length 830nm) with almost a half the energy of conventional systems.
