Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled adhesive, consisting of a copolymer, consisting of terephthalic acid isophthalic acid, (di) ethylene glycol and 1, 4-butanediol at a specific composition ratio, and having specified physical properties, having improved adhesive to fibers, and easily pulverizable at a low temperature.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive consisting of a copolymer consisting of (A) a dicarboxylic acid component consisting of 40W70mol% terephthalic acid and 60W 30mol% isophthalic acid and (B) a glycol component consisting of 5W10mol% ethylene glycol and/or diethylene glycol and 95W90mol% 1, 4-butanediol, having a ring and ball softening point of 120W160°C, a reduced viscosity of 0.5W1.8 calculated by the formula (ηrel is the relative viscosity; C is the concentration of 1.2g/dl; the solvent is o-chlorophenol; the measuring temperature is 35°C; ηsp is the specific viscosity) as a principal component. The adhesive is preferably used by finely pulverizing the granular copolyester with a liquid refrigerant to fine particles having a particle diameter ≤150μ.
