Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the strength of an element and the sealing and setting characteristics, by arranging a solid electrolyte element at the inside of a cylindical insulator, a cylindrical housing at the outside of the insulator, respectively and positioning and supporting the element by a circular expanding part provided to them respectively. CONSTITUTION:An element 1 is provided with a projecting part 1a of thin plate in one end, and shaped into a columnar or cylindrical form as a whole, and the outside diameter of the other end of the element 1 is large to form a circular expanding part 7. This element 1 is arranged in a insulator 10 which has a cylindical heating wire, and the insulator 10 is set at the inside of the cylindical housing 18. The circular expanding part 7 of the element 1 is suported by a circular seat 10a of the circular expanding part 10b of the insulator, and the circular expanding part 10b of the insulator 10 is supported by a circular seat 18a which is set at the inside of the housing 18. Thus, the mutual positioning of the element 1, insulator 10 and housing 18 becomes accurate and the setting characteristic is improved.
